(Solgohachia, Ark.) January 27, 2022 – New Life Ranch is pleased to announce the name and purpose of their new site on Jenkins Mountain, north of Morrilton, Ark.. The site, most recently known as Ozark Conference Center - Camp Solgohachia which New Life Ranch acquired on December 15, 2021, is now New Life Ranch - Boulder Mountain, and will serve as a year-round retreat facility.
New Life Ranch was originally established in 1958 by former Tulsa Bible Church founder Rev. Willard Heck and partner Tom Hull. It has served as a Christian camp and retreat facility to churches and youth from Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding five-state area for nearly 64 years. Now, seeing close to 5,000 campers each summer and 20,000 guests throughout the balance of the year, New Life Ranch expanded capacity in 2018 with the acquisition of Camp Dry Gulch in Adair, OK, previously owned by Church on the Move of Tulsa. New Life Ranch changed the name to New Life Ranch - Frontier Cove following the acquisition.
New Life Ranch - Boulder Mountain will meet a growing demand for churches and ministries seeking a location to host retreats during the summer months. Tom Graney, CEO of New Life Ranch, says that New Life Ranch - Boulder Mountain will meet that need.
For years, we have had calls at New Life Ranch - Flint Valley and New Life Ranch - Frontier Cove of groups wanting to come during the summer and host their own summer camp. With our summer programming we haven't been available to partner in that way. But with this new facility, our focus year-round is going to be partnering with churches and ministries to host retreats every weekend throughout the year, even mid-week, and all summer long.
New Life Ranch hopes to restore the vitality, ministry and service of this location as early as this summer. The long-term goal is to be able to serve multiple groups simultaneously or a single group with a service capacity of 500 beds. Graney says that they are in the process of creating a master plan for the site.
At this point, the facility isn't quite where we want it to be, but we're working on master planning and we're trusting the Lord to help give us clarity. It's our growing desire to have a facility with 500 beds with multiple neighborhoods to host multiple groups at one time, or one larger group. We are already working on getting the site ready to begin hosting retreats this summer.
