Boating Check In:
The drop off location for boat rides/check in will be at Snowdale State Park. Look for signage for NLR/staff tshirts.
501 S 439 , Salina, OK 74365
Families can park at the parking lot at Snowdale State Park. Lots of space!
Check in campers at Snowdale State Park at 12pm. Be on time! This will allow 1 hour for the check in process. Kids would arrive at camp around 1:30pm to start checking in to their cabins. Once they get settled into their cabins, they will head over to the pool for swim tests with their cabins at 2:30pm.
There will be a staffer that will meet the boating team at Snowdale State Park with a 15 passenger van. They will go through a formal check in process with each family, and help load luggage into the van. Once each camper has been checked in, they will all load onto the boat at once.
How long the boat ride will be/what time their kids will arrive at camp?
The boat ride is approximately 20-25 minutes to camp.
Where their kids will be dropped off/how they will be connected with their counselors?
When the campers arrive at camp, the van driver will meet the campers at the docks and drive them up to camp. They will then go through the normal drop off process, dropping off each camper and their luggage at their cabins.
Pick up on Saturday will be the normal check out. Boating is only for check in.
If there are signs of bad weather the morning of check in, our staff will watch the weather closely to make a call by 10am on whether or not we will continue with boat check in. If it is necessary to cancel boat check in, we will have families go through the normal check in process that starts at 1pm.
