8 Week Group Lesson
5 riders per class : Ages 8 to Adult
Angie Davis, New Life Ranch Horsemanship coordinator, has over 20 years of experience teaching people to ride and nurture their love for horses. Our team of wranglers uses ground work, games, patterns, drills, trails and obstacles as interesting and effective tools to improve horsemanship and Christlike leadership.
Scouts (3rd-6th Grade)
Participants will learn how to partner with their horse on the ground and in the saddle. This includes how to lead, groom and saddle. Beginning with safety get to’s and a basic skills assessment riders will then be challenged to improve their skills each week.
Each lesson includes “Horses, God and Me” time to illustrate God's truths.
Lessons will be arena based. At lease one trail ride will be included.
Mavericks (7th-12th grade)
Participants will learn how to partner with their horse on the ground and in the saddle.
This includes how to lead, groom and saddle. After safety get-to’s and a basic skills assessment riders will have input on their riding goals and be challenged to improve their skills each week.
Leadership is key. We will focus on the leadership skills needed to be successful in both riding and everyday life.
Each lesson includes “Horses, God and Me” time to illustrate God's truths.
Lessons will include arena work and teaching trail rides.
Trailblazers (Adults 18+)
Lessons will focus on developing control through preparation, position and communication.
After safety get-to’s and a basic skills assessment, riders will have input on their riding goals.
All skills levels will be challenged to further develop their riding skills using arena patterns and obstacles as well as obstacles on the trail. Teaching trail rides include obstacles,water crossing, a trotting circle and cantering circle. No matter the skill level, each rider will be able to focus on increasing their skills.
