Each guest should bring:
- Camp Clothes - Modest clothing suitable for physical activity - no short shorts or mini skirts. Modest bathing suits only - no bikinis (tankinis are okay as long as the top overlaps the bottom).
- Jacket/Rain Jacket - for cool nights and rainy days.
- Bedding - All campers need a pillow, sheets and blanket, or sleeping bag for a twin bed.
- Towels and washcloths
- Personal hygiene items
- Sunscreen and insect repellent
- Closed-toe/tennis shoes - bring multiple pairs in case it rains!
- Creek shoes or sandals with back-straps
- Flashlight
Special Activity Items:
- If your group has signed up for the ropes course, closed-toe shoes are required for participants.
- If a guest has registered for a Trail Ride, they will need long pants and closed-toed shoes.
- If a guest would like to fish during their stay, they should bring their own fishing gear.
DO NOT BRING THESE THINGS:
- Animals on Camp: Service animals are welcome on New Life Ranch property. Please call and let us know beforehand if you have someone in your group that will be coming with a service animal. All pets and therapy animals are prohibited.
- Tobacco, Alcohol and Illegal Drugs: NLR is a ‘smoke free’ environment, which includes all buildings, cabins, and public spaces. This includes vaping and e-cigs, which are not allowed on NLR property. We ask that all guests refrain from using or consuming tobacco, alcohol and illegal drugs while on New Life Ranch property.
- Firearms: Guests, volunteers, participants, campers, part-time employees, summer staff and vendors are not allowed to possess a firearm on NLR property other than it staying locked in their private vehicle with windows up. (21 O.S 1290.22.). If group leaders are not driving a personal vehicle or are not comfortable with leaving their weapon in the vehicle we ask that they plan accordly in order to respect our requests.
- For target sport activities (archery, skeet shooting, and riflery) New Life Ranch must supply the equipment and staff to facilitate these activities. Please call to set-up these activities with NLR staff prior to your retreat. In addition, please communicate to all guests prior to their arrival at NLR to not bring their own equipment.
