All of our full-time staff are paid a partial salary (50% of the determined base salary) and raise support to cover the rest. If housing is available, staff can live on property (at no charge) or are paid an additional amount as a “housing allowance” for helping to cover the cost of living in town. NLR also covers the cost of health insurance and provides a Health Savings Account, that NLR contributes to monthly. NLR also provides a Retirement Account with a 10% match of base pay.

Responsibilities:
1. General:
The objectives listed below should be accomplished while being consistent with the principles of the Christian faith and in a manner that will honor and glorify Jesus Christ. We want New Life Ranch Frontier Cove to be a clean, safe and attractive place for our guests to enjoy, rest, fellowship, have fun and, most importantly, find spiritual renewal.
Help maintain the physical properties of the organization.
Seek out a mentor/coach and meet with them regularly (at minimum, monthly).
Be an encouraging and contributing member of the NLR community. Use words and actions to help equip co-workers for ministry. Live a life marked by service to others.
Be committed to the Christian faith. Invest time in personal spiritual growth through involvement in personal Bible study, church attendance and other sources.
Be open and available to serve wherever else needed.
2. Specific:
Oversee the maintenance of all camp vehicles, trailers and small/large equipment (gas vehicles, diesel equipment and small engine equipment). This includes oil changes, tire changes, routine maintenance, performance or managing the unscheduled maintenance, tracking of all maintenance performed on vehicles and equipment, as well as caring for all NLR hand tools and power tools. Our goal is to have all on road camp vehicles operating in a safe manner. All passenger vehicles are to be maintained at a high level both mechanically and in appearance.
Supervise and schedule those assigned to you seeing that their job is performed efficiently and safely. Assist in recruiting and hiring hourly assistants. Be aware of Workman’s Compensation regulations and see that they are followed.
Participate in the yearly budgeting process for your area of ministry.
Oversee the condition and organization of the Shop, Equipment Shed and Vehicle Storage Shed.
Along with the other Maintenance staff, help keep the grounds of Frontier Cove neat and clean as they provide the first impression for visitors. Frontier Cove is dedicated to the glory of God and should be maintained in a manner that will honor and glorify Him.
You will be asked to assist in other Maintenance areas. We are a team.
Maintain open communication with the other staff being sensitive to any needs of which you may be able to help. Again, we are a team.
Maintain a servant spirit and an open mind in all dealings.
Attend all general Staff meetings at Frontier Cove.
Attend the monthly all Staff gatherings at Frontier Cove and/or Flint Valley (our sister site).
Along with the other FC Maintenance staff, rotate on call duties.
This means you will be on call for any needs our staff and/or guests have during the weeks and/or weekends you are assigned.
On call training will be provided.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A college graduate and/or sufficient experience in supervision and maintenance of vehicles, trailers and equipment.

In this part-time position you will be a member of a team of techs that serve our guests by keeping them safe as you facilitate them through our high ropes activities. The Flint Valley Service Delivery team consists of 5 teams: Reservations, Retreats, Activities, Food Service, and Maintenance. Each of these teams work to provide consistent service so that all campers and guests can have an experience at NLR that allows them the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ. The Support Services Assistant will work within these departments, based on the needs of our guests and staff. This will provide a unique opportunity to see many different sides of camp and to interact with a variety of different staff and guests.

New Life Ranch is looking for someone with adequate horsemanship experience to assist in maintaining a well-cared-for horse program. The horsemanship apprentice will work alongside our Horsemanship Coordinator learning to care for the herds, teaching riding classes, and leading trail rides and horse camps. The Apprenticeship begins at New Life Ranch Flint Valley in Colcord, OK for a training period with the Horsemanship Coordinator from August to December. The apprentice then moves to New Life Ranch Frontier Cove in Adair, OK (one hour northwest of Flint Valley) to manage the herd and horse program on their own with support from the Horsemanship Coordinator. The Hospitality Apprentice will oversee and ensure that their staff have all cabins, motels, meeting rooms, and public areas clean and presentable prior to guest arrival each week/weekend and throughout their stay. This will include hiring, managing and scheduling of hourly staff, placing product orders, and creating cleaning lists as needed. They will oversee and respond to all lost and found requests for FV throughout the year. This position requires good organization, systematic thinking, attention to detail, ability to lead others and self management skills. They will also be a part of our weekend hosting team.
Commitment: January, 2021 to August, 2023
