Tim Carson Memorial Fund

Tim Carson

Timothy Carson was born November 29, 1963, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Don Samuel Carson and Katherine Ann Claphan Carson. He died Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 61 years. Tim completed his secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the East Central High School Class of 1981. It was shortly after that he served his country honorably with the United States Army. He worked various jobs throughout his life, but was most proud to work as a forklift operator with Baker Hughes.

Tim enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially racing cars and NASCAR. He enjoyed time spent outdoors hunting and fishing. As a young man he spent time as a bull rider and going to rodeos. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan. Tim was considered an amateur weatherman and seemed to always know what was going to happen before it got here.

One of the things he enjoyed immensely in the last few years of his life was New Life Ranch. His daughter's husband and their family - Rhea and Drew, Owen (6), and Piper (4) Shahan - moved on to full time staff in the fall of 2021 and Tim was a near weekly visitor the last 3+ years. He particularly loved the horses, and participated in horse camps and Family Camp trail rides with his wife, Dotty.

In memory of Tim and the impact it had on him, the family has asked that memorial funds go towards the Horse Program at New Life Ranch.  Any giving through this page will be allocated accordingly.
